Electrical Switchgear Machines

Allied Automation is a designer and fabricator of quality switchgear and control assembly systems for commercial and industrial applications.  We provide custom solutions for high voltage and high load applications such as large transformer manufacturing.

We have designed and fabricated many systems for the electrical switchgear industry. These systems typically perform product assembly operations and other tests such as hi-pot, continuity, ground bond, and current trip, which ensure the safety of personnel. Allied Automation can handle your application from small devices to Substation scale components.

As an Allied Automation client in the electrical switchgear industry, you will receive multiple benefits from the installation of a custom system built to your requirements:

  • Increased production speeds

  • Better quality control

  • Greater reliability

  • Reduced throughput time

  • Improved supply chain synchronization

Ground Bond, Continuity, Current Trip & Hi-pot Testing Systems

As a manufacturer, you can be assured that the electrical safety tests and routine production tests our systems carry out in your production line will guarantee the electrical safety compliance of your products. Allied Automation knows how to keep the voltage where it belongs.  Implementing Hi-pot testing in a production environment requires not only guaranteeing a proper connection to your DUT.  It requires the containment of the Hi-pot voltage within the system.  Allied Automation knows what it takes to isolate high voltage from process controls.

Allied Automation’s control panel design and fabrication passes Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) Inspection and Certification.  Compliance certification by third-party inspection is now required by many countries, states, and counties.

Allied Automation is happy to facilitate NRTL inspection for compliance with any number of standards, including:

  • NFPA79

  • NFPA70E

  • CE

  • UL

  • Explosion Proof Categories

Success Story:
Ground Bond and Hi-Pot Testing System

This system is used to check a large variety of contact points for proper wire connection and to perform a number of hi-pot tests of the wire insulation and meter base. A (2) station dial plate is used to allow loading during the testing process in the rear of the machine.
