Mechanical Probing for Measurement & Feature Detection
Allied develops systems to perform many measurement tasks and feature verifications. The featured machine tool is used to perform a number of measurements (gauging, air pressure, hole presence etc.) on automotive lash adjusters prior to the machining operation. This system processes approximately 200 pieces per minute.
At the core of the machine is an (8) position Stelron indexer. The Control is an Allen Bradley SLC 5/03 with a Cutler Hammer Operator interface panel.
Key Features
- Mechanical probing of internal ball seat to check for proper forging geometry.
- Air flow measurement to check orifice within part.
